What does “emotionally available” actually mean?
Being emotionally available means you have the room, and the wish, to let someone in. You can say what you feel, you’re not still tangled up in the last person, and when someone shows interest you lean in rather than pull away.
It isn’t a personality type and it isn’t permanent. Most people move between open and closed depending on the year they’re having. This quiz is a bit of fun, not a diagnosis.
Why we made this quiz
“Emotionally available?” is printed on the back of every Hanky Drop shirt. Wearing it says you’re open to being approached in real life, no app needed. Anyone who spots it can enter the code underneath and see a bit about you before they say hi.
We started Hanky Drop on the Gold Coast because meeting people had started to feel like a chore. Plenty of people are open to it. They just need a way to say so.
